Department of HealthHospitals & Primary Care - Hospitals NWMersey Community Hospital Applications must be submitted by Tuesday 04 February, 2025 11:55 PM AEST Award/Classification: Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award, Registered Nurse, Grade 7a $122,365 to $129,060 pro rata, per annum Employment type: Part Time Region: North West Location: Mersey Community Hospital Provides leadership to the nursing staff within the day patient unit, Medical Day Procedure Unit, Mersey Community Hospital (MCH). The Team: The Medical Day Procedure Unit based at Mersey Community Hospital delivers day oncology and non-oncological care to patients under the clinical governance of the Northern Cancer Service. The team has a strong sense of patient centred care and clinical excellence, achieving outstanding results in clinical indicators and patient satisfaction. You will be part of a highly valued team delivering services to an appreciative community who requires local, quality care. The Role: You will be a skilled, passionate, capable leader. You will be able to lead and manage the team to ensure services maintain high standards of clinical excellence and compliance with policy, protocol and national standards. The role requires a manager who is good with numbers, can manage complex situations and change and engages in quality improvement initiatives. As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will be included as one of the Hospital's management team, working together on strategy, forming connections and working to deliver safe, quality, sustainable health care. You will need: A commitment to quality and safety A demonstrated, comprehensive knowledge of clinical care standards and National Safety and Quality Health Service standards Experience in managing a team, service performance and activity accountability, business acumen, and willingness to strategize for the future Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application. Details of appointment: Permanent part time, day worker position, working up to 48 hours per fortnight, commencing from 28 April 2025. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $122,365 - $129,060 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type Benefits available to eligible candidates: Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate. Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria. Minimum Requirements: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
