Are you passionate about improving the lives of children and young people in Out of Home Care? Do you have a strong commitment to family finding, permanency, and supporting vulnerable children? We are looking for a dedicated Case Worker to join our team and ensure the safety, well-being, and empowerment of children and young people in care. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage cases focusing on health, well-being, education, and cultural needs, ensuring all aspects of care are met. Advocate for children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making. Collaborate with families, carers, service providers, and other stakeholders to create and implement effective case and permanency plans. Develop and implement safety plans, risk assessments, and restoration or family action plans. Monitor placements and provide therapeutic support for children and young people. Participate in the court process, prepare affidavits, and provide evidence when required. Facilitate family time contact in accordance with court orders and monitor its effectiveness. Support young people in the transition to independence with after-care planning, including financial assistance and independent living skills. What We’re Looking For: Relevant degree in Social Sciences or related field OR at least 2 years’ proven experience in OOHC Case Work/Management with a relevant diploma-level qualification. In-depth knowledge of trauma-informed practice and child protection legislation. Experience working with CALD and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities. Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed practice and working with challenging behaviours. Strong communication, prioritization, and independent working skills. NSW Working with Children Check, National Police History, and a valid driver’s license. Covid-19 vaccinations.
