With a respected reputation for delivering building, trades services, NPI maintenance and operational site services prioritising safety, quality, integrity, reliability and operational performance excellence, this company already has a workforce of over 330, annual revenues circa $70 million and a footprint across 16 sites in Western Australia’s Pilbara and South West regions. About This Role The Operations & Commercial Manager is a newly created senior leadership position, reporting to the CEO. It will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective and efficient delivery of profitable mine site building, electrical, HVAC and trades services, including minor works projects and asset maintenance contracts, optimising resources, driving safety standards and continuously improving operational performance. Key to success in this role will also be developing strong, collaborative relationships with site-based clients and stakeholders to support the company’s ongoing commercial growth strategy and profitability. Whilst based in Perth, it is anticipated that the Operations & Commercial Manager will travel frequently to sites across regional Western Australia, supporting remote teams and providing client centric solutions. Key Responsibilities Strategic and operational leadership of building and trades maintenance operations across multiple mine sites. Championing a culture of safety, respect and quality. Development and implementation of commercial strategies to drive sustainable growth with Tier 1 and 2 mining clients. Management of tender submissions and contract negotiations. Risk management and compliance oversight. Oversight of project delivery, financial performance and resource allocation. Building and leading high-performing teams, while fostering an inclusive culture. Stakeholder relationship management with current and future clients, suppliers and Indigenous communities. Development and implementation of innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiencies. About You You will already be recognised as being a proactive, innovative and client focused leader. It is also envisaged that you will have: A trade qualification and/or extensive experience in electrical, mechanical, or building trades. A demonstrated track record of building respected relationships and business growth with Tier 1 and 2 mining companies. Understanding of trades maintenance and minor works projects. Demonstrated experience managing multi-trade teams and contractors. Excellence in project and contract management. Commitment to safety and quality excellence.
