Add expected salary to your profile for insights We’re looking for an experienced Category Manager who is dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for our Guests and excellent service to our store teams. Working as part of the broader ‘Customer Offer’ team, our Category Management team works with a vast array of internal and external stakeholders to deliver product ranges, pricing and promotions that will delight our Guests. OTR is on a big expansion journey as we work towards becoming the biggest and best convenience retailer in Australia. Your contributions Produce and communicate an annual category plan for each occasion, prioritise actions and implement the plan. Negotiate with suppliers to set terms that reflect the OTR business plan - Ensure lines reflect occasion trends in the marketplace to ensure OTR remains relevant and solves the challenge of the occasion for our customers. Determine range and space management, optimising planograms to increase market share and drive maximum sales - Liaise with the Planogram and Range Controllers to ensure that planograms and ranging are up to date so the 'right stock, right time' principles are managed. We aim to ‘Never Run Out’ for our guests, and this promise is paramount to our success. Prepare and deliver the promotional program to meet business objectives, aligning to the business strategy. Balance the promotional strategy and new product development pipeline to meet annual Sales and Profit targets. All documentation is accurate and submitted on time, including promotion submissions, price changes, new article forms. Manage queries and issues raised by our store teams and other stakeholders. Successfully handling additional duties or requests with a flexible and solution-oriented mindset. Ensure range is accurate and in stock for all new and refurbished site openings. Identify cross-selling and other opportunities to leverage the occasion. Set and review priorities and KPIs, monitor and analyse data and prepare regular reports with commentary and recommendations for action. What we are looking for Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role and retail industry. A solid understanding of category management. Previous experience reviewing sales data to make decisions regarding ranging, pricing etc. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships with our suppliers. Someone who embraces change, as our organisation grows nationally. A positive and progressive attitude, not bound by doing things tomorrow as they were done yesterday.
