Our specialist surgeons are supported by a dedicated team of specialist medical, pain and rehabilitation physicians, physiotherapists, nursing and administration staff, allowing the delivery of high quality clinical outcomes and service to patients in need of neuro-spinal care. Role & Responsibilities Provide expert medical advice and assessment to individuals with work-related health conditions, including injuries, illnesses, and disabilities. Conduct thorough occupational health assessments, including medical history evaluations, physical examinations, and review of workplace environments. Develop comprehensive treatment plans and work restrictions tailored to each individual’s specific needs, taking into consideration their medical condition, job demands, and workplace hazards. Collaborate with employers, insurers, and other stakeholders to facilitate safe and timely return-to-work programs and accommodations for employees. Perform medical surveillance and fitness-for-work evaluations to ensure employees are medically fit to perform their job duties safely and effectively. Offer guidance on workplace health promotion and injury prevention strategies, including ergonomic assessments and employee education programs. Provide expert opinions and support in the management of workers’ compensation claims and medico-legal cases. Stay updated with relevant occupational health guidelines, legislation, and best practices to ensure the delivery of evidence-based and high-quality care. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case conferences, and continuing education activities to foster collaboration and enhance professional development. Requirements Medical degree and current registration with the AHPRA as an Occupational Health Physician. Specialist qualification in Occupational Medicine from a recognized institution. Current working rights in Australia. Extensive experience in occupational health and a deep understanding of work-related health conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, respiratory disorders, and mental health issues. Strong clinical and diagnostic skills to assess and manage a wide range of occupational health conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employers, employees, and other stakeholders effectively. Familiarity with relevant occupational health legislation, guidelines, and best practices in Australia or New Zealand. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning in the field of occupational medicine. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
