Job Description

The Role: Our rotational program offers early career occupational therapists the opportunity to gain experience across acute, sub-acute and community settings, receive high quality supervision and regular professional development. You will be welcomed by peers from all over Australia who now call Hobart home and have access to senior occupational therapists and clinical leads to support you as your career progresses. Assess and treat patients within allocated caseload and act as an advocate for patients and carers on relevant issues. Attend and participate in multidisciplinary, staff and other meetings and conferences as required. Establish patient goals, treatment and discharge plans in conjunction with other disciplines. The service: The Occupational Therapy Service includes over 90 team members consisting of occupational therapists and assistants, play specialists, diversional therapists, carpenter, and administration officers. We work across acute, sub-acute and community settings, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, the largest teaching Hospital in Tasmania. Location: Hobart, Tasmania Details of appointment: Multiple permanent full time, day worker positions, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $73,834 - $111,364 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022. Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Allowances: Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum. Benefits available to eligible candidates: Relocation assistance may be available.
