This role provides clinical occupational therapy services to children and their families within the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Job duration: up to 29.06.25 with possibility of extension. An opportunity has become available for an Occupational Therapist (Child Health) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will: Deliver clinical services in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, including Paediatric occupational assessments and interventions. Participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities. Commensurate with level of experience, provide student education and clinical practice supervision to less experienced occupational therapists. Contribute to management activities such as entering departmental statistical coding in required areas. About you: To be successful in this position you will require: Tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy. AHPRA Registration. Driver License. Evidence of vaccination, or ability to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B. Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required. Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed. Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost). About Us: The Child Development Service (CDS) is a community-based, multidisciplinary health service involved in the assessment and management of children referred with concerns of development and/or behaviour. The primary role for the Child Development Service is to work in partnership with families to understand the child's developmental/behavioural needs through both information and formal assessments and offer therapy intervention where indicated. CDS also has an important role in promoting positive child development both within Queensland Health and the wider community.
