About the role At Generation Care, you will assist older Australians to live a safe and independent life while participating in activities they wish to. Our work is predominately face to face and has high levels of autonomy as we are a mobile, community-based service. Our services are provided in the clients' home. Specific duties will include: Managing your day-to-day client activities to support positive outcomes for your clients and their families. Assessment and recommendation of mobility devices including walking frames, wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs and electric mobility scooters. Assessment and recommendation of assistive technology to improve quality of life. Assessment and recommendation of pressure care devices including beds, mattresses and cushions. Assessment and recommendation of minor home modifications including ramps and rails to support clients remaining in their own homes. Provide client-driven, evidence-based assessment services to clients in their home and community environments, focusing on their personal goal attainment. Provide therapy services either individually or as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Liaise with builders and external stakeholders such as medical equipment stores to complete client requirements and finalise quotes for services. Liaise with external stakeholders, such as other health professionals, care coordinators, family members, to achieve the best outcomes. Provide accurate, timely and high-quality reports aligned with Homecare Guidelines. Complete SWEP applications as required. Minimum Requirements: An approved degree in Occupational Therapy. Full registration with AHPRA. Passion for supporting people to maximise their independence and realise their full potential. Excellent communicator and able to meet timely communication with stakeholders. Current and unrestricted driver’s license with access to own vehicle.
