Find out more about working with the Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network at: Working at the FUNLHN Service: Rehabilitation Based at the Whyalla Hospital, the Restorative Care service (Rehabilitation Service) is available to clients within the Flinders & Upper North Local Health Network. Clients are assessed by a multi-disciplinary team and participate in an intensive, time-bound rehabilitation service that is tailored to their goals and needs. This may be during an inpatient stay in Whyalla or may be through the Ambulatory Rehabilitation program for clients who have discharged home across the health network. Tele-health rehabilitation resources are also used to provide the intensity of Rehabilitation needed. The Rehabilitation service is used for clients after stroke, amputation, deconditioning, or other neurological changes like Parkinson’s disease. Relocation and Accommodation Assistance: Financial assistance for relocation may be available for eligible applicants for appointments prior to 31 December 2026. Support and Training: Supervision – as per the Regional LHN Allied Health Supervision Framework. Access to Professional Development funding. Scholarships may be available to undertake a Certificate of Rural General Practice/Graduate Diploma of Rural Generalist Practice via the Allied Health Rural Generalist Pathway (AHRGP) Rural Generalist Program - JCU Australia. Access to contextual Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Training (specific to the region) and access to Aboriginal Liaison Officers and Aboriginal Health Practitioners. Links with Rural Support Service (RSS) – for useful resources and professional support and/or Clinical Governance. About the Role: As an Occupational Therapist , you will leverage your clinical experience and growing expertise to plan, implement, and evaluate a wide range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of the local community. Working with greater clinical independence, you’ll play a key role in the supervision and development of less experienced allied health professionals, assistants, and students. As part of a collaborative multi-professional team, you will apply a combination of preventative care, early intervention, treatment, therapy, and evaluation to deliver impactful services. About You: Must hold a recognised qualification within a relevant Allied Health Profession and be eligible for practicing membership of the relevant Professional Association. Apply professional expertise and clinical skills to provide services for complex client needs. Use professional judgment to adapt established methods and techniques. Provide clinical and consultative services across various settings, including one-on-one, group, and health promotion.
