To provide support to elderly clients in the community to enhance their safety, promote independence and optimise health outcomes in collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. $56.68 - $58.52 per hour + 11.5% super & salary packaging | Temporary Part Time 14 hours per week | Occupational Therapist Level 3 | Illawarra Transitional Aged Care Service | REQ547788 | Applications close: 5 February 2025 This is a temporary leave relief position until 4 January 2026 with the possibility of extension. This position is currently based at Port Kembla Hospital and will be moving to a new location in early 2025. Join us in shaping healthier futures. Together we can do more. ITACS provides a time-limited, goal-oriented service for older people who would benefit from additional low intensity therapy in their own homes as well as assisting with the decision-making process around long term care service supports. As the Senior Occupational Therapist in ITACS you will provide clinical leadership within occupational therapy service provision including optimisation of client care delivery, as well as supporting the mentoring and development of staff. You will be required to have creative problem-solving skills in the community setting without direct clinical supervision when completing in-home assessments and interventions. You will also provide care planning and liaise with external stakeholders. The position functions as part of a multidisciplinary team with a teamwork approach to the provision of low intensity home-based therapy programs to frail elderly clients who are ready for discharge from sub-acute hospital care but are unable to return home without additional care and support. This role provides great work life balance working Monday to Friday only with no shift work required. A Little About Us.
