Home to approximately 2000 Yarnangu (Ngaanyatjarra people) across 11 unique communities, our council is dedicated to preserving and celebrating our rich heritage spanning over 10,000 years and 250,000 square kilometres. Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group (NCG) represents the interests of the Ngaanyatjarra People across the 11 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia. The Opportunity: Ngaanyatjarra Council is currently looking for a full-time Warehouse Officer to join our Housing team. Based in Perth, this role focuses on warehousing, quality control, and logistics operations to ensure goods are efficiently and effectively received and sent to the Lands while meeting job timelines. In addition, your responsibilities will include: Warehousing: Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring safe and compliant storage, accurate packaging, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness. Quality Control: Inspect goods for accuracy and condition, track delivery discrepancies, and ensure quality packaging to prevent damage in transit. Logistics: Track shipments, plan loads efficiently, liaise with transport (NATS) to prioritize orders, manage documentation, and ensure clear communication with stakeholders. General Duties: Collect supplies from stores, ensure proper labeling and packaging, maintain safety compliance, and perform additional tasks as required. About You: You would be perfect for the role if you have an eye for detail as this role requires a high level of accuracy.You will also have: Valid C class Drivers License Senior First Aid Certificate Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Physical capability for warehouse tasks and product handling. Effective communication and teamwork skills. A Certificate in Warehousing or previous warehousing experience would be viewed favorably but is not an essential requirement for this role.
