This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated Offshore Approvals Manager to join Corio’s offshore wind business and support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy. Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Approvals Manager, you will work closely with our Australian Development Team and global experts to progress the offshore planning approvals for Corio’s first Australian project located in Gippsland - Great Eastern Offshore Wind . The successful candidate will be part of an inclusive and high performing team who have built a culture of collaboration and best practice. You will have the opportunity to support the offshore approvals and baseline marine surveys to deliver the environmental impact assessment and engagement for one of Australia’s first offshore wind projects. Responsibility: You will be responsible for the environmental assessments to successfully deliver the State and Commonwealth project approvals for our Victorian projects, particularly focused on the offshore approvals. In addition, this role will have responsibility for the following: Ensure the environmental approvals and impact assessment can be obtained in a timely manner. Deliver the approvals strategy for the offshore component of the project, working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Stay updated with the relevant legislation and input into any new policy development. Manage the process to meet all regulatory and environmental requirements to obtain all offshore environmental approvals. Oversee the marine environmental baseline surveys and input to the project approvals. Understand and communicate key approvals risks and manage risk mitigation. Lead engagement with partners, other disciplines (i.e., technical, commercial, HSS), and consultants. Determine scopes of work, appoint and manage contractors and interpret advice received. Lead the preparation of all relevant project documentation to support delivery of the State and Commonwealth processes. Requirements You will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field along with at least 10 years’ experience in a relevant role. Experience delivering projects under the Commonwealth EPBC Act and Victorian EE Act. Experience in offshore wind, oil and gas, or other high-value marine infrastructure projects in Victoria. Experience in marine and coastal EIAs and complex marine infrastructure approvals. Experience in and good understanding of regulatory control and permitting of infrastructure projects.
