This role involves supervising staff, organising pantry workflows, and coordinating food and beverage services. Additionally, the Food & Beverage Manager ensures adherence to food safety standards and maintains a well-structured, organised pantry area. By leading the team and streamlining operations, the Food & Beverage Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining a smooth and efficient work environment. Ensure the refrigerator, snack stations, kitchen, and pantry displays are consistently stocked and well-organised. Maintain accurate inventory of food items and supplies, ensuring proper storage for both perishable and non-perishable goods. Adhere to food safety regulations by monitoring expiration dates, managing stock rotation, and following proper food handling protocols. Coordinate with suppliers for seamless building access and timely deliveries, including receiving and unpacking orders in designated areas. Assist vendors with catering and event setups organised by Hampr. Keep stockrooms clean and organised, following FIFO (First In, First Out) storage practices. Ensure all labels and signage, including dietary information, are accurate and up to date. Handle incident management and reporting efficiently. Regularly update the site brief to reflect program changes. Track wastage and action changes if required. Staff Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring team members are on task and adhering to procedures. Foster a positive and cooperative team culture, encouraging productivity and morale. Create work schedules to ensure adequate coverage, including breaks, while considering the needs of the pantry and any upcoming events. Communicate promptly with Hampr and client regarding any leave requests from staff. Provide support, guidance and regular feedback to staff members. Virtually manage remote staff in 3 site locations across Australia. Have monthly meetings with staffing agency to provide feedback. Have bi-weekly meetings with Hampr to address any critical issues. Have weekly on site walk through with client and address feedback provided. Co-ordinating Food & Beverage Programs: Manage ordering with budget provided through stocktake control and par levels. Manage Ad-hoc food, beverage, and service requirements for meetings, events, and related activities. Utilize internal communication channels (Slack, Hampr live chat, email) to liaise with Hampr and Client contacts. Collect feedback from employees and pass on improvement suggestions to Hampr and client management prior to implementing any changes. Adhere to food health and safety protocols and other relevant procedures to ensure the secure delivery of the Food Program. Manage and execute weekly event activations, including planning catering, creating menus and co-ordinating with the wider team. Manage changes in the program by updating spreadsheets, changing orders and communicating changes with the team. Manage program for 3 small external sites - tracking wastage, amending program requests, managing porters remotely and sharing before and after images with clients. Request feedback monthly from sites to improve the program the following month. Ideal Candidate: Hospitality experience required. Corporate experience preferred, with knowledge of the food industry, including food pantry operations. Advanced verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with staff, clients and vendors. Knowledge of inventory management, stocking procedures, and food distribution best practices. Excels in organising and managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality results. Strong leadership and team management skills. Problem-solving skills to handle shortages, compliance issues, and logistical challenges. Being able to swiftly make an educated decision. Demonstrates strong time management skills and reliability by consistently meeting deadlines, prioritizing tasks effectively, and maintaining a dependable work ethic. Strong computer literacy including entire Google Suite and demonstrates adaptability and proficiency in utilizing ever-changing technologies. $90 000 + Super Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Management and Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
