Queensland Health (Organisation site ( ) )Dirranbandi QLD 4486 (Australia) South West Hospital and Health Service has an exciting opportunity for an Operational Services Officer Cook to join our team in Dirranbandi! Join us in building better health in the bush! Provide an effective and efficient cooking service through the production of quality food menu items for a variety of client diets, and oversee and organise all operational services staff required for food services. Ensure food preparation, cooking production, and presentation methods are in accordance with standards, procedures, and work schedules. Coordinate the production and distribution services to ensure all meals are delivered in a timely manner to consumers. Ensure portion control is correct and in accordance with dietician requirements. Maintain the production area in a safe and hygienic condition. Ordering of stock and checking of food deliveries for quality, quantity, freshness, and temperature; oversee stock rotation and correct storage methods are used. Assist the Facility Manager in upgrading procedures, education of staff, and orientation of new staff. Responsibility for completion of and participation in Quality activities and audit processes, maintenance requests, as well as reviewing and updating the Food Safety Plan. This position is a Monday to Sunday role. The very nature of what we do and who we are is the real opportunity.
