About the role Commencing immediately, you will work closely and report directly to both the Sydney based founder and senior members of staff. This newly created role covers Operations Analyst responsibilities as well as supporting financial controller responsibilities. These are further listed in detail below. Skills and experience Have an understanding of how equity markets operate. Possess highly developed analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills. Relevant tertiary qualifications relating to accounting, financial markets, RG146 etc. Proficiency in analyzing data from OMS/EMS trade execution platforms. Possess an analytical mindset with a proven ability to problem solve. Excel in a fast paced and high-pressure work environment and be task orientated. High attention to detail. Must be willing to commit for an extended tenure and progress internally. Ability to account for revenues and reconciliations in a complex environment. Advanced Excel skills, creating efficiencies with processes as the business grows further. Support in monthly calculation, reconciling, banking and reporting of internal revenues to the Head of Operations. Support in distributing revenues to internal dealers and compiling their reporting/analysis monthly. Support in liaising with external accountants on adhoc items such as taxation reporting, profit reporting, funds management taxation reporting. Support in running the annual audit liaising with external auditor. Being the conduit between Head of Operations and external accountants during the audit process ensuring a smooth outcome for all. Support in the RG166 AFSL cash flow projections spreadsheet. Support in revenue projection reporting to Head of Operations. Equities Desk Level Daily trade bookings and settlements of Lazarus client book. Support in trade reconciliations of the Lazarus' client book. Daily reconciliations of Lazarus' multiple prime broker counterparties. Daily reconciliations of Lazarus' client portfolios (cash and positions) in Lazarus reporting system back to prime brokers. Support in managing Lazarus risk exposures at the enterprise level with its prime brokers. Apply your art competently as a key member of the Risk Committee. Proactively identifying business and client risks and enacting solutions. Adhoc tasks in compiling data reports on client assets/portfolios to assist the team in achieving favourable outcomes underpinning business growth. Support in annual accounting submission to external accountants and managing them through the process between fund administrator distribution reporting and external accountant tax reporting. Support in bookkeeping of fund revenues back to Lazarus Securities ensuring correct invoicing processes. Supporting the quarterly BAS submissions for the Head of Operations. Formalising and documenting funds management accounting processes and procedures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
