Add expected salary to your profile for insights About the company: Whitsunday Air Services is a Helicopter, Seaplane and Fixed Wing aircraft tour and transfer operator servicing the Whitsundays, Great Barrier Reef and Hamilton Island Area. We provide luxury tours such as scenic flights, helicopter transfers, reef cruises and snorkeling tours including our world famous “Journey to The Heart.” About the role: We are now seeking a motivated individual for the role of Operations Controller/Guest Liaison. The position will be full time and require the candidate to reside on Hamilton Island. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role will support the day to day operations of the business. Your key responsibilities will be to: Interact with customers, management and pilots to assist with the effective provision of aviation services. Take reservations from travel agents and customers directly through a variety of communication platforms. Communicate with operations team, pilots and management to ensure the efficient allocation of aircraft to tours. Supervise passengers while airside, safely load and unload aircraft. Take radio calls from pilots using the company’s in-house radio system. Answer enquiries about tours and flights. Coordinate guest transfers for tours. Reconcile the daily sales for overview by the Operations Manager. Monitor incoming emails and answer or forward as required. What We Are Looking For: We are looking for a driven individual who would like to stay and grow their career long term. In addition, we are ideally looking for the following attributes: Previous experience in a customer service or tourism role. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, use of emails and data collection. High level of attention to detail and strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to self-manage your time to achieve high levels of productivity whilst also complying with strict safety requirements. Previous experience working within teams and in a busy working environment. A current Drivers Licence. A current ASIC or willingness to obtain. A tertiary education or background in aviation, logistics or business will be highly regarded. Experience with living and working in a remote location will also be highly regarded but not essential.
