Together, we are searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bundaberg-based Operations Cost Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role drives cost efficiency, financial accuracy, and operational excellence across our manufacturing operations. About the Role The Operations Cost Accountant is an exciting role in a growing manufacturing business, acting as the key business partner of the supply and operations team. The role delivers robust operational insights, performance tracking, and recommendations to the executive and operational managers while providing financial reporting and commercial and analytical support. Key responsibilities include: Lead the inventory costing process across the group Operational cost variance analysis Manage freight costing analysis and accruals Month-end close process across operations and supply chain Coordination of the budgeting and forecasting inputs for operations Commercial analysis and support across the operations teams The Ideal Candidate Based in Bundaberg, our ideal candidate will have: 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing or FMCG environment CA/CPA would be highly regarded Proven leadership skills and the ability to influence with your communication style Ability to work in a team and demonstrate sound financial decision-making skills and knowledge in the key areas of labour, materials, usage, write-off, overheads, and productivity What's on Offer Commensurate to the skills and experience of the successful candidate, our client can offer you: Hybrid work available - up to 2 days per week WFH Paid professional registration fees and professional development Annual employee dinners, award nights, and social activities Access to company benefits across dozens of local businesses Genuine opportunity for career progression and cross-skilling Working within a brand-new, $120m purpose-built office space As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to undertake Pre-Employment testing, including medical and Drug and Alcohol screening and a criminal record check.
