Executive Manager Level 1-6 ($115,000 - $125,000) exclusive of superannuation paid as per superannuation guarantee levy NRM North offers a flexible workplace with the ability for employees to adjust their work schedule or hours to fit their needs, including options like working from home, flexible start times and compressed hours, depending on the role and the specific arrangements available. Three days (FTE pro rata) bonus days are offered during the Office closure between Christmas and New Year holidays. The Operations Manager - Biodiversity will lead and manage an operational team encompassing the Biodiversity and Water Programs, including planning, implementation, delivery, and reporting on projects related to the Biodiversity and Water portfolios including the Tamar Estuary and Esk Rivers (TEER) Program. The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience: Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental science and/or natural resource management and/or equivalent experience in related disciplines. Good interpersonal communication and negotiation skills including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively within the organisation and with a wide range of people within external organisations, funding bodies and the general public. Experience with key principles of project management including project development, tracking milestones, budgets, WHS, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and implementing adaptive management processes. An ability to work effectively in a small, multi-disciplinary team that responds to various demands and manages multiple activities simultaneously. The successful applicant will have exceptional skills in leading and motivating a team in the pursuit of common goals; have excellent communication skills and be a strong relationship manager. They will be sensitive to political and community issues regarding natural resource management in Tasmania and will understand the philosophical principles of non-government organisations. A sound understanding of Biodiversity and Water Management is highly desirable.
