About the role With our B2B business experiencing significant growth, we’re on the hunt for a dynamic, people-driven leader to step into the pivotal role of Business Operations Manager . This is your opportunity to lead transformative operations, drive success across teams, and shape the future of our expanding B2B division! The Business Operations Manager plays a key role driving the success of the B2B function. From onboarding new customers to leading the scope, development and implementation of major business projects. You’ll guide organisational initiatives, improve ways of working, and serve as a senior advisor for impactful B2B projects. Reporting to the Commercial Business Manager, you will empower and motivate your team of 7 direct reports to deliver, engage and enhance the B2B customer experience. To put it simply this is a role that can make a big impact in an already growing part of the business. As our Business Operations Manager, you will: Collaborate across diverse functions within the organization to drive key projects and address day-to-day needs, ensuring seamless coordination and impactful results. Lead the onboarding process for new Corporate, Government, and Education customers, overseeing everything from pre-sales to end-to-end implementation, and ensuring exceptional post-launch support with our hypercare program. Partner closely with Business Sales to ensure smooth transitions for new customers, focusing on aligning customer expectations with sales goals to accelerate revenue realization. Spearhead a continuous improvement program that modernizes and streamlines the way Officeworks Business operates, driving greater profitability, enhancing the customer experience (NPS), and fostering higher employee engagement. Take a leadership role in the strategic scoping, design, and execution of high-impact projects, including the launch of new platforms, processes, and capabilities that elevate the overall Business customer experience. Serve as a senior advisor and key resource to major cross-functional projects, providing expert guidance and support to initiatives that directly impact and enhance the Business function. We are based at Chadstone (with onsite parking, no battling with the crowds of the Fashion capital), working 2-3 days per week in the office and the rest from home in a hybrid arrangement. For the right candidate, we are also open to this role being based in NSW. About you You are a people-centric leader, with demonstrated experience and a passion for continuous improvement, problem solving and implementing process initiatives. You are commercially minded, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within large and complex business environments. In addition, you will have: 10+ years within Business to Business, Business to Government or Business to Education environments, with a blend of all three highly regarded. Strong leadership expertise, with 5+ years in leading, coaching and mentoring teams in a similar operational leadership role (Customer service, implementation, sales support, data management or continual improvement). Solid working knowledge across ERP, CRM, websites, warehouse management systems, workforce planning. Ability to build sound relationships, communicate and negotiate cross-functionally and at all levels of the business. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
