Specialised Quarries & Concrete (SQC) is a family owned and operated Quarrying and Concrete supply business servicing the Narrabri and Northwest region of NSW for the past 2 years. Due to increased growth in the region and some exciting major projects underway on our doorstep, SQC is hiring a Concrete Operations Manager to oversee our day-to-day Concrete Production Operations including planning, production, technical, and logistics functions from our Narrabri facility. Who are we looking for? Reporting to the Group General Manager, the position will have oversight and responsibility for the Concrete Production Business Unit. We are looking for an extremely motivated individual with the following attributes: Champion safety as the Number 1 priority at all times. Extensive experience in safety management and proven ability to effect positive change in Safe Working practices in a Concrete production environment (or similar). Demonstrated experience in the management of Concrete production activities. Exceptional leadership skills managing diverse workgroups to achieve positive business outcomes. Robust experience developing and managing client relationships whilst ensuring a high quality product and exceptional customer service outcomes. High level technical acumen in Concrete production with strong experience in Quality Assurance and change management processes. A pragmatic, resilient, and solutions-based outlook with a ‘Can-do’ approach. Ambition to grow the business unit with extensive industry knowledge and high level business development skills. Sound commercial acumen and demonstrated ability to leverage internal opportunities to maximize productivity and financial results. Our ideal applicant will possess: 5 years' experience working in a management position in a concrete production environment. Extensive experience in batching concrete using manual and automatic batch plant systems. Be looking to better themselves through working collaboratively with business and concrete operational staff to achieve both personally as well as for the business. What's in it for you?
