Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager - East will lead and manage Otraco’s teams of site-based personnel and technical staff across QLD/NSW. You will be responsible for analysing statistical operational data and providing technical analysis to solve a variety of issues/concerns, within a team environment, to help grow the business within your region. Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: Monitoring the region to ensure your teams are performing tyre fitting and workshop maintenance tasks in the most safe, efficient and cost-effective manner, in accordance with the Otraco best practices. Provide visible leadership by interacting and engaging teams to ensure you capture opportunities to be able to coach and mentor. Ensure site operations achieve monthly and annual budgets and forecast projections. Set clear expectations of teams in relation to their duties, ensure all employees hold the appropriate qualifications and competencies, and provide regular feedback on their performance. Undertake regular meetings with the client to review Otraco performance, KPI’s, labour levels, opportunities for improvement and any other relevant aspects of the services. Ensure your teams are enforcing the endorsed work processes with personnel and are actively sharing information with other teams. Actively promote a safe culture across the organisation ensuring all personnel work safely and comply with all Otraco procedures documented in the safety plan, as well as client legislative procedures. Actively promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration across the team and the broader Otraco business. Be an active part of our SLT team (Senior Leadership Team). About You The successful candidate will have senior managerial experience, preferably within the mining industry, in an operational, consulting or tyre management capacity. You will ideally hold a tertiary qualification in engineering or equivalent industry training and be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to create healthy relationships with both employees and the client. Otraco’s key focus is Safety First, so sound knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment standards within a business setting would be advantageous. Experience in business development and client engagement is also preferred.
