About the Role We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join our Mine Resupply Moranbah Team. Safety: Zero harm, Safety performance, compliance, safety leadership Commercial: Effective cost management, budget targets and business development People: Productive, aligned and engaged work crews, training and development Operational Excellence: Effective utilisation of resources (labour and equipment); Continuous improvement of Operational Processes. Compliance: Oversee completion of driver inductions and that they are conducted effectively. Permits and licenses are valid and maintained, total adherence to site and road regulations. Safety leadership: Manage drivers safely through their shift; pre-start checks processes including TRAMS / JSA are adhered to at all times, monitor and manage fatigue. Deliver against safety management plans and manage adherence within the team. Conduct: Toolbox talks, delivering clear and consistent messages Incident response: Involvement and assistance. Incident investigation: conducting effective, high quality incident investigations. Responsible for the implementation of corrective actions. Accountability and performance: Team member’s accountabilities and responsibilities are understood, and employees are delivering to expectation. Address performance issues within the team. Contract Management: alignment for the company for client processes and compliance. About You Experience in logistics/transport/mining services industry. Experience in Leading a Team. Ability to use optimisation techniques for scheduling, rostering and asset and labour utilisation. Understanding of safety and compliance practices and regulations in logistics industry including chain of responsibility. Relationship building with strong communication skills with clients. Must be able to obtain relevant security clearances.
