Komatsu Forklift Australia promotes, sells, hires, and services the full range of Komatsu forklifts, from powered pallet trucks through to 25-tonne container handlers, with niche products also available to ensure that we have the right solution for our customer's needs. The Opportunity: Komatsu Forklifts is looking for an Operations Manager on a permanent full-time basis to manage our Newcastle branch and oversee the field service technicians situated across rural parts of the state. This role will lead a team of 11 employees, including Field Service/Workshop Technicians, Parts Administrators, Service Coordinators, and Sales Reps. The team is full of long-standing employees who have extensive knowledge of our Komatsu products. A key focus of this position is to ensure the delivery customers expect from Komatsu OEM, including customer service, parts, and service. Key Responsibilities: Management and delegation of day-to-day duties for each team member with regular check-ins and performance reviews. Monitoring and ensuring that the team is as efficient as possible while providing the best possible customer experience. Providing quotations to customers in addition to building and presenting business proposals. Conducting regular audits of HSE and ensuring compliance and governance is adhered to. Ensuring all team members are enabled for success in their positions and can provide feedback on challenges or issues as they arise. Weekly, quarterly, and monthly reporting on the PNL, Budgeting, and WIP Performance. What We Are Looking For: Previous experience working as a Service/Workshop Manager, State or Territory Manager, or Operations Manager. Previous industry experience working in EWP, Hire Industry, Construction, or Equipment is advantageous. Must have leadership experience and strong team management skills. Strong exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting building (PNL, WIP Reports). Must have an understanding of Service Centre operations and safety standards, protocols, and procedures. The ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and managers. A leader who can enable their team and drive growth development plans and strategies. A current Forklift and Driver's License.
