Job Description

A permanent vacancy exists for an Operations Manager to join our team based at South Windsor, NSW. Reporting to the General Manager Urban, your main responsibilities will be: Manage the operations process, including production and logistics planning, control, performance improvement, SQC compliance, operational efficiencies, workforce resourcing and operations strategy Design and implement plans for the effective use of material and labour resources to achieve manufacturing targets Schedule the maintenance of production equipment and machines to ensure efficient operations Adapt and provide leadership for change management and ERP system integration Analyse and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or problems Monitor and control the production process to adjust operations in event of a problem Liaise with Safety, Quality & Compliance (SQC) to ensure product quality and specification are consistent and conduct assessments to identify mechanical and procedural limitations that minimise work efficiency Coordinate with Marketing and Sales teams to implement strategies that will improve the marketability of manufactured products Oversee the hiring, orienting, and training of production employees to ensure a competent workforce Oversee the regulation of work shifts to ensure adequate and effective workload distribution Coach, develop and mentor team members and supervisors to optimise performance and behaviours of their teams Address underperformance and unacceptable conduct promptly, ensuring compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures To be successful you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related area 5-10 years’ experience in operational leadership role in the building industry Experience of using ERP Software and MS Office Current knowledge of NSW WHS requirements Good understanding of FWA obligations in a blue-collar setting Working knowledge of Lean practices Ability to adapt communication style and use influencing techniques to create positive outcomes Professional communication and presentation together with a positive attitude Sound understanding and commitment to privacy and confidentiality Excellent time management and attention to detail Ability to work independently and work effectively with the team to achieve business outcomes Ability to manage complex business relationships and manage a diverse team Shows initiative, independent thinking, well-developed problem-solving and consultation skills along with the ability to develop a positive, accountable, and customer service focused culture Exceptional interpersonal and people management skills If you think this role matches your skills, experience and career interests, please email your resume to Shireen Campbell, People & Culture Business Partner at Applications Close: Monday 10 February 2025 #J-18808-Ljbffr
