The Opportunity: Operations Manager - Venue We’re on the lookout for an Operations Manager – Venue, to join our operations team. Reporting directly to the Director of Event Technology, the role of the Operations Manager – Venue is to establish venue profitability benchmarks for each venue business unit and implement operational changes to improve profitability performance through increased efficiency and productivity across all areas of the business. Core Responsibilities Prepare reports and make recommendations from the data on process improvements and highlight potential benefits. Be responsible for monitoring operational efficiencies and make recommendations on further enhancements. Drive operational efficiency and productivity across Encore. Establish operational standards across all Encore sites. Provide systems and sales support to the Venues team. Ensure that all operational information is available on the intranet and is kept up to date. Make recommendations for capital expenditure within venues to the Technology Team. Maintain a schedule of contracted projects and coordinate reporting of progress against the schedule. What we're looking for in an Operations Manager The successful candidate will be a customer-focused individual who demonstrates a high level of understanding the clients' needs and being able to recommend solutions. If you’re passionate about events and looking for career progression in the Audio Visual and Events industry, then we want to hear from you! Previous experience in meetings and events is essential. Excellent planning, organisational, time management & project management skills. Strong business acumen and financial management skills. Customer centric and ability to build strong and long-lasting customer relationships. Previous experience in serving high-end clients is highly regarded. Strong communication skills (verbal and written), negotiation and influencing skills. Ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines. Experience in the hospitality or luxury sector. Qualification in Hospitality or Events is highly regarded. Team player. Working rights in the country where the role is based.
