About Your Opportunity Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will oversee, monitor performance and report on operations of assigned water assets to ensure business requirements are met and resource allocation is optimised. This role is responsible for: Supervising and participating in the day-to-day activities of staff and contractors working in or around the plant, including administering rosters, assigning and delegating tasks, and monitoring workload and performance. Providing expertise, advice and direction utilising operational knowledge and problem-solving capabilities for assigned water treatment assets, and associated other water supply assets. Liaising with the Supervisor, Coordinator, maintenance providers and other technical experts in the identification and resolution of complex or unusual plant issues, planned and unplanned maintenance activities and process improvements. Identifying and undertaking continuous improvement activities and projects, such as the development and review of procedures, and processes to ensure ongoing service continuity. About you To be successful in this role, you will possess: A leadership style that is supportive and focused on empowering others. Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture. Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or deemed equivalent. Unrestricted Driver’s Licence for a motor vehicle. High level of demonstrated experience in operating and optimising water treatment plants, and associated water supply infrastructure. Ability to lead and develop others to foster and develop effective productive work teams. Ability to identify and prioritise activities, risks and opportunities across a complex range of water sources. This position has a salary starting at $117,467.93 plus 12.75% superannuation and is a permanent full-time position based at Mt Crosby Westbank. Appointment to this role is subject to the provision of a national police check and may be subject to other medical/character requirements.
