And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.Key job responsibilities As an Optical Network Development Engineer working within AWS Infrastructure you will: Build, Operate and rollout our global DWDM networks Drive scaling current DWDM designs to meet the demand of our customers Create processes that help operate and build our DWDM network Work closely with other Networking departments on new designs Ensure that the DWDM network adheres to the defined network standards Review and implement changes on the DWDM network Drive operational excellence projects to drive improvements in our DWDM network quality and reliability Troubleshoot complex problems and develop innovative solutions day to day on our network. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience 5+ years' experience with the rollout of large DWDM networks and Optical network technologies PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience Acknowledgement of country:In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
