Our client is an established and highly respected Wealth Management financial institution providing advice and investment solutions to high-net worth clients. The firm also provides market leading Institutional Dealing, Corporate Advisory and Research. With offices nationally, our client is a recognised leader in financial markets. They attract the best across research analysts, advisers, sales and trading specialists, corporate financiers etc. We are looking for an Options Manager to join this highly successful organisation. An individual with many years’ experience in Australian equities and options trading, has developed a deep understanding of both Exchange Traded Options and the Equity trade life cycle from execution of trades to the settlement process, as well as the ability to manage on-going risk. We are looking for a strong people person. Someone who understands the importance of creating strong relationships with internal business stakeholders as well as external clients. Someone with strengths in communication both written and verbal, a professional who can be both a strategic and operational leader. You MUST HAVE hands-on experience in an options and equities trading desk and be able to manage the activities and responsibilities from an operational and risk perspective. You will have experience and deep knowledge of trading systems, processes, and deadlines and will know how to deal with day-to-day related processes and issues, as well as less common scenarios. To be successful we are looking for a professional who can: Provide internal trading support to client advisors. Monitor intra-day risk and margining, post-trade performance as well as manage and oversee cash, collateral. Monitor compliance, particularly organisation wide trading behaviour and be able to detect and escalate unusual trading activities. Monitor risk breaches and articulate complex risk strategies to senior leadership and the compliance team. Assist with regular market reports and trading summaries. Monitor and communicate market news, movements, and potential trading opportunities. The individual we are looking for must have a high-level experience in both derivatives trading, operations and through their industry experience, have developed a strong understanding of CHESS, ASX settlement systems, market integrity rules, trading regulations, risk margins, ASX margining etc. We are looking for a professional who has: A degree in Finance, Economics, Maths or related. ADA 1 and ADA 2 qualifications or similar. DTR accreditation beneficial but not necessary. Experience in both derivatives trading and operations. Experience in a fixed income desk and/or general risk will be highly beneficial. Strong knowledge of Australian ETO derivatives and international ETO trading background highly beneficial. Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial markets. Experience in and understanding of AMLCTF, KYC, risk control frameworks. Very strong communication skills and a highly collaborative style.
