About the role: Reporting to The Orange Door Coordinator, the position will work collaboratively as part of the integrated team responding to children, young people, and families experiencing family violence and other areas of vulnerability and risk. The Orange Door Senior Child Wellbeing practitioner will be the point of initial contact and engagement for women and their children seeking support. The Orange Door Senior Child Wellbeing practitioner will provide support to their team whilst also providing information, advice, and an initial assessment with a focus on risk assessment for those seeking assistance. We are recruiting for 2x Permanent Full-Time (38 hours per week) opportunities based in Sunshine within The Orange Door, Family Services program. The position reports to the Orange Door Coordinator. Key Selection Criteria: To be successful in this role, you will have: Support coordinator with triaging of referrals. Manage tier one cases or cases where there is a higher than usual level of risk. Provide an initial assessment of the needs of children and their family and the level of risk, in consultation with other Orange Door services. Short term work with children and families, prior to allocation to the relevant Orange Door Service, where needed. Our offer: Hourly Rate of $53.84 to $56.22 as outlined in the SCHADS Award Level 6, dependent on qualification and experience.
