Job Description Opportunity snapshot Member of the DevOps team with responsibility for architecting and designing cloud solutions and driving automation. This role will primarily support the SS&C managed services platform which hosts in-house developed software applications for our customers on AWS as well as with our private cloud system. Role responsibilities Design Cloud Infrastructure solutions for our MSP services, including products such as Bluedoor, HiTrust, MFA, and miscellaneous support systems. Design CI/CD Automation to deploy all infrastructure and code. Work with other Business Units and Architecture teams to ensure a proper design for the DevOps Build Team. Assist with the Build Team during deployment of new services. Evaluate internal pipelines and design efficiencies in automation. Project Management capabilities. Assess and build new monitoring capability across on-premises & cloud hosted environments. Assist Cloud Engineers to design AWS Solutions. Act as 3rd level support for all DevOps related support issues. Be flexible to work out of hours according to a support roster, and as required to liaise with remote teams in other regions. Experience IT degree, or equivalent experience. 7+ years experience working in a DevOps role. Solid understanding of DevOps practices and methods. Solid understanding of tech stack to include: AWS Terraform PowerShell & Bash Windows/Linux Puppet SaltStack Containerization VMWare Databases (Postgres/MSSQL) CI/CD Tools such as TeamCity, Octopus, GitHub Actions Working knowledge of SDLC principles and methodologies. A passion for automating manual processes. Keen to continuously improve & innovate.
