Add expected salary to your profile for insights About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Disability Support Worker to assist a resident. This role will provide hands-on support for daily living needs, health management, and community access. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing person-centred care, supporting individuals with dual diagnoses, and be committed to ensuring residents' safety, dignity, and well-being.Key Duties & Responsibilities: Provide full assistance with meal preparation and clean-up. Support with personal care Assist with medication management Provide support with all domestic tasks and cleaning around the house. Accompany resident with community access using your own vehicle. Special Support Needs: Medication Assistance Diabetes Management Manual Handling: Low assistance, with no hoisting required. 1:1 support Experience with challenging behaviours Shift Details: Sleepover Shifts: Shifts typically run from 2000hrs to 0800hrs, with active support from 2000hrs to 2200hrs, inactive support from 2200hrs to 0600hrs, and active again from 0600hrs to 0800hrs. Requirements: Previous experience in disability support or similar roles. Manual Handling experience (low care, no hoisting). Current First Aid and CPR certification (preferred). Medication training (preferred but not required). Experience with challenging behaviours Own car for transportation and community access. Ability to follow a care plan and maintain high standards of support. What You Need: Current NDIS workers check Cert III or IV in disability 6 months or more of experience Two relevant references from a manager or supervisor National Police Check (or willing to obtain) Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 & Influenza Apply Today!
