Organisation: The Royal Children's Hospital Occupation: Medical and Nursing Reference: 12794 About the Role: A great opportunity exists for a Grade 1 Cardiac Physiologist to join our dynamic team of dedicated paediatric Cardiac Physiologists, on a part time fixed term basis for 6 months at 30.4 hours per fortnight. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is keen to learn and develop as a paediatric Cardiac Physiologist in a world leading Cardiology centre. You will provide clinical supervision and opportunities for continuing professional development and will be involved in working in our busy Arrhythmia Department. What You'll Achieve: You will perform 15-Lead paediatric ECGs Fitting holter monitors to paediatric patients Analysing returned holter monitors and preparing a preliminary report for the Cardiologist Performing standard exercise treadmill stress tests and Cardiopulmonary exercise tests Pacemaker interrogation and troubleshooting of a range of different devices/vendors (dependent on experience) Involved with managing the day-to-day running of a busy paediatric Arrhythmia service Your Skills and Experience: A Bachelor of Applied Science or Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in a health science discipline (or in the process of completing your undergraduate degree) Previous experience in a Cardiology Arrhythmia practice (paediatric experience would be highly beneficial) An ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team An ability to carefully plan, organise and prioritise tasks An understanding of the need to deliver high quality care to our paediatric patients and their families Commitment to ongoing education and skill development Other Requirements: Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain Valid Working with Children Check Compliance with RCHs “Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases” procedure Application process: To apply, you will need a resume and a tailored cover letter outlining your skills, experience, and suitability for the position in line with the requirements of the position description.
