Full-time - 2 year maximum term contract We are seeking an awesome person to become a part of our Canning Vale store. Inspirations Paint Canning Vale is a family-owned business serving trade and retail customers for all their paint supply and paint knowledge. The position offered is full-time, 38hrs per week, for a maximum period of two years. Regular rostered working hours will be agreed across the store’s opening hours, including rostered Saturdays. Store opening hours are currently 6am-5pm Monday to Friday and between 7am-1pm Saturdays. Above Award wages will be agreed with the successful applicant; a uniform will be supplied and ongoing training provided. The role will be offered as either a Senior Paint Sales Assistant position or as an Assistant Store Manager position, depending on the applicant’s interest and experience. The successful applicant would be genuinely interested in people and their paint projects and in providing an exceptional customer experience to both our retail and trade customers. Relevant sales experience within the paint industry or with practical home improvement projects is an advantage. Responsibilities include: Tinting and mixing paint, providing colour advice and colour-matching. Providing an exceptional customer experience and expert paint advice for both retail and trade. Store presentation, stock management, and housekeeping. Workplace Health & Safety requirements. Following the “Inspirations Way” procedures. Experience / Attributes: A demonstrated background in sales and/or customer service would be well regarded. Knowledge of the paint industry and paint application highly desirable. Practical experience in home improvement projects desirable. Able to problem solve using advanced communication skills. A willingness to learn and continuously improve. Able to contribute and work in a small team environment. A current driver’s licence is essential. Honest, reliable, and punctual. Basic computer skills.
