Opal is an industry-leading paper and packaging business, with manufacturing sites across Australia and New Zealand. We have an exciting opportunity to join the Opal team, as our Athol Park site in South Australia is currently looking for a Paper Clamp Driver/ Heavy Forklift Driver to come onboard! The key focus of this role will be to: Unloading paper reels (the inventory) from semi-trucks, staging warehouse Delivery of paper reels to correct location (line-side location) Calculating of paper reel lengths and recording inventory accurately Undertaking precautionary measures when moving through active workspaces Communicating effectively with teams via two-way radio We can offer a varied career journey with experiential learning gained from cross-functional and lateral moves. For this role we would ideally like you to have: A valid forklift licence with experience driving heavy forklifts (experience using paper-roll clamps would be highly regarded, but is not required) Experience working in a fast-paced environment Ability to read and understand run sheets Good maths skills, ability to calculate paper length requirements based on run sheets A strong commitment to safety and willingness to work as part of a team.
