Home of the Wallabies and Kangaroos on the beach at sunrise experience, this is a very unique opportunity to relocate to the ultimate coastal location. Cape Hillsborough is perfectly located just 40 minutes north of Mackay and 90 minutes south of Airlie Beach. What you will do: Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will manage a seamless Park operation through the provision of consistent high standards in product, food and beverage and guest services. You will: Oversee and take accountability for the smooth running of the Park's day-to-day operations. Ensure an amazing guest experience, deliver an immaculate product and support your team to shine. Maintain appropriate levels of employees in all areas of the Park's operations and ensure the Park is structured effectively in order to exceed guest service. Oversee asset management focusing on the protection and preventive maintenance of key assets and buildings. Manage financial budgets in respect to incremental revenue targets and labour and operating costs and monthly re-forecasts. Establish, monitor and manage key business performance indicators. Monitor and maintain a high standard of safety for all guests, visitors and employees. Manage, develop and assist in recruiting employees of all levels. This is a rewarding and challenging experience for the right person - no one day will be the same. Recognising the importance of our location within Cape Hillsborough National Park, this location will not be suited to those with pets. Onsite accommodation is available with subsidised rent as part of the contract of employment. What you will bring: Our ideal candidate will have relevant hotel/resort/park management experience where initiative, organisational and advance planning skills are essential. Ideally, you will have experience in working in an experiential tourism destination and managing key relationships. You will also have experience in successfully managing properties with onsite Food and Beverage operations. You will be able to demonstrate experience in overseeing teams and the ability to understand and interpret awards and certified agreements. We welcome individuals that are innovative and have a customer and commercial focused mindset. You will also have: Previously managed or held a senior role in a holiday park, resort, hotel, or similar tourism-related role. Proven experience in leading successful teams through building and maintaining a positive culture. Experience working in an environment where initiative, organisational and advance planning skills are essential. Previous oversight in managing properties with food concepts, or events will be highly regarded. You will demonstrate a flexible attitude to work and the passion to work as part of an operational leadership team who are hands-on, confident and have a passion for delivering outstanding guest relations. You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have proven evidence of successful financial and strategic management ability.
