Job Description
We seek a mature, reliable, and experienced person to join our team as a supervisor in our Rose Room Coffee & Gift Shop, within the grounds of our award-winning attraction, Cockington Green Gardens. This person will work closely with the Café Manager and assist in the day-to-day running of the Coffee & Gift Shop. This position requires a high standard of customer relations and the ability to supervise and lead the team. Experience in a supervisory role in hospitality or retail is required. Additionally, this public-facing role requires that the successful applicant is confident, polite, and possesses strong public relations skills. This permanent role requires a minimum of 21 hours per week (over 4-5 shifts) between 9 am and 5 pm daily and incorporates 2-3 weekends per roster. Flexibility with additional shifts during holiday seasons is also required. As a member of a tourism team, the successful applicant must be available during all peak holiday periods, such as school holidays and public holidays, and during the Floriade Festival period (September/October). Principal duties will include: Daily operations of the Rose Room, including opening and closing & reconciliation Supervision of staff, shifts, and duties Ordering & receiving stock Customer service and visitor engagement To be considered for this position, it is essential that qualifications are held or obtained in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Food Supervisor Handling.
