Job Description The Patient Services Lead is responsible for supporting the Triage and Navigation Manager while leading a dedicated team responsible for coordinating and delivering key operational services nationally to patients and their families who are impacted by Blood Cancer. This role actively performs day-to-day operational tasks alongside the team, while also providing leadership to ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively. This is a full-time permanent position based out of one of our Brisbane site offices based at Dutton Park or Coopers Plains. We would also be open to this role being based out of our offices in Melbourne (Carlton), Sydney (Artarmon), Perth (Innaloo) or Adelaide (Lightsview). Leukaemia Foundation adopts a hybrid working model, therefore if you have a suitable home workstation you will have the flexibility to work from home two days a week. We will trust you to: Lead a cohesive and motivated team that supports patients with accessing Leukaemia Foundation services and support in a timely manner. Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation, streamlined workflows, and accurate processing of practical assistance applications and service requests (e.g., PATS, Transport, Financial Assistance) to enable prompt payments and support team efficiency. Manage financial resources by overseeing billing, invoicing, reconciliation, practical assistance application approvals, and budget oversight, while ensuring adherence to budget allocations and compliance with relevant funding bodies, such as Medicare. Support the delivery of a high-quality service within work policy, standards, and guidelines. Provide subject matter expertise regarding key operational services and assistance applications. Champion change and service improvements. Provide a high standard of professional conduct. Does this sound like you: Relevant experience in a leadership role within an administration, customer service or healthcare setting (emerging leaders will be strongly considered). The ability to lead a dispersed team. The ability to lead key projects and initiatives within the scope of the role as directed. Strong decision making, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Demonstrated intermediate knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated good system literacy. An ability to navigate complex working environments and drive better outcomes. Qualifications in business administration, healthcare or community services practice management, or related field. Proficiency in practice management software. Knowledge of and experience with Medicare and insurance billing processes. At Leukaemia Foundation we offer: Salary including generous salary packaging up to $15,900.
