What You’ll Do This role is a blend of operational excellence and strategic thinking , covering two key areas: Payroll Management Own the fortnightly and monthly payroll processing (currently manual but undergoing a cutting-edge transformation). Be the go-to expert for payroll queries, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Ensure employees on parental leave and other leave types are paid correctly. Prepare essential employment documents (e.g., promotions, terminations, parental leave letters, bonuses, and salary adjustments). Stay ahead of payroll legislation changes , ensuring best practices. Support the testing, configuration, and optimization of our new payroll system. Onboarding Excellence Deliver a best-in-class onboarding experience , ensuring every new hire feels welcomed and set up for success. Manage end-to-end onboarding processes , including setting up new hires in our People Systems and coordinating induction programs. Partner with internal stakeholders to create engaging onboarding experiences , including training assignments, meet-and-greets, and structured first-week plans. Ensure all new hire documentation is complete and compliant. Assist with enhancing our onboarding systems , ensuring we provide a seamless and modern experience for new starters. What We’re Looking For You’re not just detail-oriented —you’re people-oriented . You love problem-solving, streamlining processes, and creating a great experience for employees. You’ll thrive in this role if you: Have 3+ years of payroll experience and a strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processing, compliance, and reporting. Are tech-savvy , with strong Excel skills and experience with payroll systems (Payroll Metrics, IntelliHR, or LiveHire experience is a bonus!). Have deep knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements . Are a natural collaborator , with exceptional communication skills and the ability to build relationships across teams. Are a problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Handle sensitive data with professionalism and confidentiality . Can work autonomously while also excelling in a team setting. Bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and strong organizational skills to the table.
