We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our passionate team. Position Overview: As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll and handling all payroll-related matters, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll system data, and assisting staff and management with payroll queries. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation of payroll processing while adhering to relevant laws, industrial agreements, and internal procedures. Key Responsibilities: Process and administer fortnightly payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and industrial agreements. Manage timesheets, leave entitlements, and salary adjustments. Ensure the accurate calculation of overtime, shift allowances, and penalties as per the applicable awards and agreements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes, awards, and employee entitlements in the aged care industry. Resolve payroll-related queries from staff and management in a timely and professional manner. Assist with audits and compliance reporting. Support the HR team with data entry for new staff, terminations, and other employee-related matters. Key Requirements: Proven experience in payroll processing. Strong understanding of relevant payroll legislation, awards, and employee entitlements. Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Chris21 or similar). Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork and deadlines. What’s in it for you?
