Reporting to the General Manager People & Culture as a P&C Partner, you’ll be a key influencer in shaping the culture and driving business success across our National Support Office. This is a 12 month parental leave opportunity but the world here at Total Tools and Metcash is your oyster. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll get up to: Strategic People Leadership: Work with business leaders to craft and execute people strategies that support business priorities and goals. From workforce design and labour management to cost control and talent planning, you’ll be the go-to partner for all things people. Change Management Champion: Lead people through change, supporting major transitions and ensuring that our teams are always aligned with business needs. You’ll be a critical driver of organisational effectiveness, ensuring the right talent is in the right place at the right time. Culture and Engagement: Collaborate with leaders to foster a positive, engaging culture where everyone feels valued and can contribute. Implement group-wide diversity and inclusion programs and develop initiatives that inspire engagement. Talent Management: Help identify, develop, and retain top talent through succession planning, performance-based cultures, and key development initiatives. You’ll ensure our leadership teams have the support and development they need to succeed. Day-to-Day People Support: Support leaders with people-related matters such as recruitment, employment relations, and compliance. You’ll also ensure that payroll and safety/well-being initiatives run smoothly across the organization. Collaborative Projects: Work closely with your direct P&C team and Metcash Centres of Excellence to deliver key people programs and policies, ensuring compliance and seamless integration with business needs. What We’re Looking For: We need someone who is proactive, collaborative, and an expert at building strong relationships with leaders. Here’s what you’ll bring to the table: Experience: At least 5-8 years in a P&C business partnering role, ideally within a retail or support office environment. You’ve been around the block, working with senior leaders and helping them make people-focused decisions that drive business outcomes. Skills: A proven track record in employee relations, coaching, influencing, and developing strong stakeholder relationships. You’ve worked in dynamic, growth-focused businesses and understand the importance of aligning people strategies with business goals. Knowledge: You’re savvy when it comes to ER matters, and you know how to navigate compliance and people processes with ease. A People-Focused Mindset: You thrive on creating a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture. You’re approachable, results-driven, and have a knack for building strong, trust-based relationships with leaders and teams.
