Job Description

Your Role Join our team as a Performance Analyst and play a pivotal role in driving operational and financial excellence across our hospitals. In this dynamic position, you will have the opportunity to grow your skills and experience while working closely with the Senior Commercial Performance Analyst. Collaborating with Finance Managers and the Hospital Operations Executive team, you will contribute to enhancing performance reporting, delivering strategic financial insights, and informing key operational decisions to support outstanding outcomes. The Position Conduct performance analysis and reporting, highlighting key issues to the broader hospital operations team and the Director of Finance and Performance. Develop hospital performance reports as requested. Perform deep dive reviews with presentation of results. Develop, review, and understand month-end hospital results and reporting, including detailed commentaries. Deliver ad hoc analysis and regular reporting for all metrics, including salaries, wages, KPIs, and trends, using payroll data and other financial and non-financial databases. Collaborate with analytical teams across the organisation to develop standard reporting suites. Conduct ongoing operational and capital reviews, identifying emerging trends and productivity management opportunities. Create templates for standardised reporting and collaborate with Finance Managers to enhance analytics and dashboards for financial performance improvement. Analyse trends, conduct deep dives, and perform hospital health checks. Support hospital budgets and forecasting processes, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables. Act as a liaison between hospitals and Group Finance for budgeting and forecasting communications. Help develop the budget submission reporting framework and prepare hospital presentation and review packs. Contribute to the development and maintenance of operational models and tools. Consolidate and review hospital forecasts (weekly, monthly, quarterly), providing commentary and following up on remedial actions with Finance Directors and Managers. You will have a tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline, along with proven experience in finance, business analysis, consulting, or performance management. While experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous, it is not essential. Your strong analytical skills enable you to interpret complex operational and financial data, translating it into actionable insights that drive performance. To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate advanced financial modelling expertise, proficiency with data visualisation tools, and the ability to quickly learn new reporting technologies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are vital for building collaborative and effective stakeholder relationships.
