This Perinatal community team provides a free and confidential specialist mental health assessment and treatment plan to support women who experience or are at risk of developing moderate to severe mental health symptoms: Up until the infant is 12 months of age (postnatal period). We offer face-to-face appointments at various locations including clinics, hospitals, community health centres and at your home. Telehealth appointments may be offered as an option. We are a multidisciplinary team made up of a range of perinatal specialists, including Consultant Psychiatrist, Registrar/Career Medical Officer and Perinatal Mental Health Clinicians (Registered Nurses, Allied Health Professionals - Social Worker/Occupational Therapist). The Role: The Perinatal Mental Health Clinician is a member of the multidisciplinary Perinatal Mental Health Team based in Adult Community Mental Health Services (ACMHS). As a senior member of the perinatal service, the Perinatal Mental Health Clinician will assist in providing specialist care to women, infants and their families within their designated region identified as at risk of, or having, moderate to severe perinatal mental health disorders. Provide an identified first point of contact with the PMHS team for receipt of enquiries regarding management advice or referral to the team. Review and triage referrals received and prioritise allocation of assessment appointments according to patient need. Coordinate the care of women referred for assessment and treatment in collaboration with the Perinatal Psychiatrist and the PMHS. Details of appointment: Fixed term full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2025. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary: $110,425 to $126,703 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022. Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme. Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum. Benefits available to eligible candidates: Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
