About North East Link The Spark Consortium has been selected for the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project.The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project. The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads. About the Opportunity To support the delivery of the North East Link project, we are looking for an experienced Permit Coordinator to join the team. Reporting to the Permit Manager, the role will be responsible for effectively managing the permit-to-work procedure and ensuring compliance across the project. This role will be accountable for: Completing and maintaining permit workflows in accordance with company procedures. Coordinating with engineers and project managers to prepare and submit permits. Receiving and processing permit applications. Receiving all supporting permit documentation from permit requestors including required drawings, information, and Asset owners work Authorisations/Permits. Conducting site walks with the requesting engineer and the work Supervisor prior to issuing permits. Attending the zone coordination meeting to discuss and manage SIMOPS issues. Our minimum requirements for this role: A proficient level of knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office Systems. Ideally, previous experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Contractor on a construction, mining, oil, or gas project. A team player with a strong work ethic. The ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision. A detail-oriented person with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Excellent attitude and awareness of Safety.
