Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) - Permanent Part Time Banfields is located on a site formerly occupied by Banfields Motel and Cinema complex in Thompson Avenue, Cowes. It is a modern, architecturally-designed, state-of-the-art residential aged care facility set amongst beautiful, landscaped gardens, incorporating luxurious amenities. It provides care to 90 residents, catering for all care needs with ageing in place programs. The facility also offers dementia care in a dedicated 14-bed memory support wing. About the Role Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of older people? At Banfields Aged Care, we’re looking for compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) who treat residents with the same care and respect they would give their own loved ones. As a PCA, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centered care. Your attentiveness, kindness, and professionalism will help enhance our residents’ comfort, dignity, and overall wellbeing. The position is Permanent Part Time (up to full time hours) with AM, PM and Night Shifts available. Key Responsibilities: Provide personal care and support to residents, maintaining their dignity, privacy, and independence. Assist with mobility, communication needs, and therapy plans, including dementia and behavioural support interventions. Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions, offering direct support to Registered Nurses. Build meaningful relationships with residents, their families, and colleagues, fostering a warm and supportive environment. What We’re Looking For: A strong passion for aged care and a commitment to exceptional service. Reliability, flexibility, and availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays and weekends. A positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with residents, families, and staff. Possess a teamwork attitude. Strong communication and time management skills Commitment to delivering quality care according to Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
