The Role Best Injury Lawyers is seeking two experienced personal injury paralegals to join our Fortitude Valley office. These full-time roles will support our legal team: one working closely with an Associate, and the other working with a Senior Associate. We offer a flexible working arrangement, blending office-based and remote work, and a competitive market salary, based on experience. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage administrative tasks such as diary and file management, arranging meetings, mediations, and conferences, as well as handling critical deadlines. Liaise with clients, treatment providers, expert witnesses (e.g., specialist doctors), defendants, and counsel. Draft correspondence to stakeholders, including the Court, defendants, solicitors, and relevant third parties (e.g., Medicare, Centrelink, WorkCover Queensland). Prepare matters for conferences and hearings, including drafting legal documents under a solicitor's guidance (e.g., Notice of Claim forms, statements, statutory declarations, Court documents, schedule of damages; Statement of Loss and Damage and Affidavits). Prepare briefs for expert witnesses, barristers, and mediators. Have support from a Legal Assistant. Are reliable team players, capable of working collaboratively and autonomously. Possess strong attention to detail, prioritization, and time-management skills. Demonstrate confidence, flexibility, and a proactive approach to work. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Are proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Are client-focused, well-presented, and have an excellent phone manner. Experience with Smokeball practice management software is looked on favorably, but not essential. Remuneration: A competitive salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant commensurate with skills and experience.
