Volunteer opportunities are available across NSW, ACT and Victoria.If you don't see an opportunity in your area, please call 180079 33 99 or email Job Description Bring your pet along to our residential care home to meet residents in care, they will enjoy patting and chatting with you about your treasured companion. See what a difference your furry friend can make! As you're bringing your pet into a care environment with frail and elderly residents, we ask that your pet is: - Calm and gentle in nature - Up-to-date with vaccinations and treatment of worms and fleas - Nails should be short and blunt. Freshly cut nails can be sharp if not filed down. - Dogs should be kept on a lead always. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
