Job Description

Casual opportunity to perform a range of clinical support activities and on-the-job skills development while engaged in formal studies necessary to acquire the qualification of Certificate III in Hospital or Health Services Pharmacy Support. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Undertake tasks under close practice supervision of a Registered Pharmacist or Pharmacy Assistant in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, including but not limited to maintaining ward imprests, individual patient supply for inpatients, supplying schedule 8 medicines, dispensing prescriptions, clinical information documentation (including adverse drug reactions), and repacking of medication. Provide broad general administrative support (including outpatient clinic data entry) contributing to the efficient operation of the Pharmacy Department. Provide cashier and front counter services as required to the Pharmacy Department. Assist with stock control including the receipt and storage of pharmaceuticals and stock level maintenance with minimal supervision.
