The opportunity Royal Freemasons Community Services team is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Physiotherapist to be part of our multidisciplinary team delivering services in the community and our wellbeing centre. As a community physiotherapist you will work closely with clients in the comfort of their own homes to provide tailored, person-centred care and ensure a safe environment within the Wellness Centre applying your clinical skills to improve client’s quality of life through group activities. Key responsibilities include: Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment to clients of the target group. Assess clients for strength training, exercise and other treatment and physical activity groups. Participate in and provide access to Care Planning and Common Assessment for clients. Consult and liaise with our Community Staff and staff from other agencies who also work with this target group, to develop a comprehensive approach to service provision. Provide secondary consultation to other members of the team and to external agencies, where relevant to client care and Physiotherapy practice. Support our allied health assistant staff in relation to group work and individual client services. Qualifications, knowledge and requirements required for the role Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Satisfy the Physiotherapy Board of Australia Continuing Professional Development and Recency of Practice Guidelines Uphold the Physiotherapy Board of Australia Code of Conduct Demonstrated experience and well-developed clinical skills in physiotherapy within aged care, either community or residential setting Knowledge of clinical assessments, care plans Drivers License and own vehicle Other requirements A current, full drivers licence for the State of Victoria which is appropriate for the type of vehicle being driven and comply with any restrictions on their licence (e.g. wearing glasses). It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role. All aged care workers must be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and are encouraged to receive the Flu-Vaccine.
