We believe that’s what makes us truly different! We currently have an opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join the team at Bethanie Fields Aged Care Home located in Eaton. Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Fields is a 160 bed facility designed specifically to provide support for people who need 24 hour care, including those with special care needs and dementia. In this role, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of customer-centred therapy and lifestyle programs, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to improve the quality of life of our residents. This role is offered on a permanent part-time basis, working 14 hours per week across two days in a job share arrangement with our current Senior Physiotherapist. Our Therapy Team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, a Senior Dietitian and a Senior Speech Pathologist. The Therapy Team is supported by a full-time Allied Health Manager. In addition, this role will be directly supported by a Senior Therapy Team Lead with over a decade of experience as an Occupational Therapist in aged care. About You Current full, unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Physiotherapist Relevant experience in an aged care environment or supporting people living with dementia is an advantage, but is not essential Be relatable and able to share knowledge in a way that supports change at all levels High level of negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Able to manage a complex workload and adapt to fast-changing priorities and environments Is customer-focused and works effectively with a broad range of stakeholders Demonstrates effective communication, strong verbal and written skills, and interpersonal skills Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one) About the Role: Provide evidence-based and goal-directed therapy services including assessment and therapeutic interventions in the areas of mobility, function, pain and falls prevention and management Plan and implement individual or group therapeutic activities, whilst working with an interdisciplinary team to maintain an effective referral system and coordinate therapy implementation Direct and coordinate Therapy Assistants Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and information systems Contribute to a multidisciplinary program of continuous improvement Incorporate aged care quality standards into all services Synthesise information, through observation and written documentation, to provide recommendations that are relationship-centred and informed by evidence-based best practice Undertake a range of assessments that help to understand the holistic experience of the person Working with Bethanie Many of us work because we want to make a difference.
