About You Reporting to the Chief Broking Officer and working alongside the Head of Market Management, you'll be a skilled negotiator with an exceptional reputation in the market, and a passion for delivering innovative, tailored solutions to our clients. Partnering closely with our brokers, and on a national scale, you are proud to contribute your extensive broking experience in general insurance with an interest in broadening your capability in professional lines. Your analytical approach and product knowledge anchor your success in preparing submissions and collaborations with both internal and external stakeholders. You're a respected industry professional with a proactive, client centric approach and a team player at heart which in turn makes you a natural leader of others, capable of guiding and inspiring brokers and clients alike. Existing networks in the industry demonstrate your keen ability to influence, empathise and communicate with ease. About The Role This is a newly created role, set to shape our placement strategies, build market relationships, and secure optimal outcomes for clients. The expectation for this role is to see continued growth for both the business and the individuals leading the function. This opportunity has been intentionally designed to identify new markets, strengthen internal capability, build on existing relationships, and better understand industry trends and behaviours. Key Responsibilities Include Direct Placement: Manage high-value accounts and challenging risks, ensuring clients receive the best possible terms and coverage. Portfolio Deals: Work closely with the Chief Broking Officer to negotiate comprehensive portfolio deals, driving client value and enhancing broking team efficiency. Risk Evaluation: Collaborate with underwriters and brokers to assess and improve client risk profiles and mitigation practices. Insurance Solutions: Craft and secure tailored, innovative insurance solutions to ensure clients’ needs are met. Client Positioning: Work with broking teams to develop compelling narratives that differentiate client risk profiles and attract underwriter interest. Coverage Analysis: Lead negotiations with underwriters, reviewing terms and securing optimal coverage for clients. New Business: Identify new markets and opportunities, collaborating with brokers to secure new business placements. This is a strategic role intended to shape and lead national placement strategies. The continued success and expansion of this team assumes growth for all involved.
